Sketches from my own children’s book “Everything Pink” currently in development.

I designed and illustrated two children’s books written by mother and son team Elke & Alex Barber.
As well as illustrating the first book, my work involved helping define the voice of the main character and editing text.
My illustrations involved the use of pencil sketching, watercolours and Adobe Photoshop.
Both books are aimed at young children and deal with the difficult subjects of sudden death & bereavement.
The first book was nominated for CILIP Kate Greenaway Medal 2014.

Everything Pink is my own book, currently in development.

My style incorporates pencil, watercolour, pen & ink, vector graphics as well as Photoshop & Illustrator. I like the way pencil sketching can accentuate characteristics and motion, I’m interested in playing with texture in watercolour and I love developing characters.
